SS output is like a journal report, just for 1 generation. The problem with
a multi-generational report is that SS does not focus on just one
individual, but on the whole dataset (or a selected sub set). If you placed
even a 2 generational journal for each person then most people would have
their details repeated three times, once as the first generation under
themselves, and two more times as the second generation under each of their
parents. Go back a few generation and the redundancy gets enormous. Also
with the limited field of a screen (which is where SS output was designed to
go) you are not going to see the larger context the multigenerational
journal reports provide. If you want a report designed for "Book" output
then TMGs reports (probably to a word processor format) are the way to go.
(although a companion CD with the SS output could be an interesting
addition).
