Victor,
Further to Lee's suggestions, I set up either a copy of the tag concerned
with a new para in its sentence, eg Anecdote, and AnecNP.
I also sometimes just have a role with a New Para version in its sentence,
eg Principal and PrincNP
That way I don't end up with localised sentences.

Every user will have different paragraphing preferences based on each
person in their data. Thus, I would suggest that, yes, you will need to
continue to use the carriage return codes in your Sentence Structures as
you think best to have paragraphing as you want it.
You could add the codes to the default Sentence Structures in the Master
Tag Type List, but I do not recommend this as that might force paragraphing
when you do not want it.
Hope this helps -
