Thanks for the clarification Teresa. I kind of figured it out, but my mind
is having trouble getting around the multiple systems (yours, Diana's,
Elizabeth's, etc.) I think I have a handle on it and how I want to proceed.

Thanks again, everyone.

Laurie,
No they are actual PLACES.
There's a screen shot at:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rutherfordcemetery/tsla.htm

It shows my To Do List tags. My place style for microfilm rolls is:

<[County Name], ><[Book Type], ><[Roll Number], ><[Archives], ><[City],
><[County], ><[State], ><[Phone], ><[FHL Film Number], ><[Comments]>

This does make your place list grow fast, but I find it very helpful to be
able to go to the MPL and click on a place and get a list of everyone who
might show up on a certain roll of microfilm.

Any information I give that you can't find in your version of TMG 5.1 is
probably due to customization on my part.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful responses. Of course, these wonderful
responses always lead me to more questions, but I'll try to keep this one
simple.

I guess I misunderstood the "dummy place" concept. It is really a "dummy
person" that is a place rather than a surname? Makes much more sense that
way (at least to me).

And being the visual person that I am, I would gratefully accept a copy of a
report definitions or screen shots of a surname/place's person view or a tag
entry that anyone who would like to send me ().

Thanks again for all your help (on this and everything else).

Laurie
