Generally the WG forum would be the place to post "The program quit
working...", but, for those for whom a mailing list is more convenient, I fully expect
the present level of peer support to continue here. I envision the new
forum as a place to check first to see if a fix for your problem is included in
their database, and as a convenient way to contact Support directly. Most
particularly the WG forum is a goldmine of easily accessible information on tmg and
related products. I assume and hope tmg-l will continue with the same
freewheeling support, diversity of opinion, and great ideas on using tmg.

Some tips I've found on using the new forum:

- To make for a less cluttered page, you can collapse the sections you aren't
viewing at the time. Look for the + and - in the upper righthand corner of
each section. I like to collapse everything except the 'Board Statistics'
section at the bottom. Then when I visit, I can either click on 'Today's Active
Topics' on the bar there or I can go up to the top and use 'View New Posts'.
With Board Statistics you can see who's having a birthday too <g>. The
forum will remember your settings.

- I've found it is not necessary to log out each time you visit - and that
makes it easier to pop in and out of the forum in a hurry. You may find that
sometimes the orange alert for a new topic is not updated, but I usually click
on 'Mark all posts as read' when I'm finished anyway.

- You don't have to visit the forum to keep track of interesting topics.
There are several ways to get e-mail notification of WG forum topics (see the
forum Help / Email Notification of new messages). If you are actively involved
in a topic, the e-mail will contain the complete text of the topic reply.

- The WG forum will provide a database of support information for future
generations, so it's considerate to minimize small and OT talk, keeping in mind
the moderator's job of purging extraneous posts. The practice forum and Senior
Member Chatter are the exceptions.
