Carlton,

Last time I checked, Excel could only handle dates from 1900 on. (That's
from memory.) So, TMG is putting the dates in the file, but Excel will only
convert the 1900 and up dates to it's date format.

You might consider using MS Access rather than Excel. Or, you could split
the field into 3 numbers: year, month, day, each in it's own column.
