I'm not seeing that. I just tested it and when the extra space between
words was removed, optimize removed the redundant entry from the MPL.
When you open the Master Place List you see the normal 10 place fields,
when you select a place, and click the Edit button you will see there
are 4 additional place fields: Short Place, Start year, End year, and
Comments. If any of these fields has an entry, that will make that place
record unique, and thus not removed by optimize.
