Linda,
I have a similar situation. A cousin's third husband, "Joe," thinks he is
the second husband and has no idea of the real first husband and the three
children. The irony is that he is probably the only one that doesn't know.
(And one of the daughters from the real first marriage attended the wedding of a
daughter from the real second marriage and "Joe" was present...oooh.)
You could enter the relevant data if you can be certain that the information
would never, ever print in any report. Consider, though, that someone might
discover the data in your database. I would type a report on the situation
and put it in the filing cabinet in a "confidential file." You could even
create a non-printing tag called "confidential" to flag the situation and use
that event for similar situations with other persons, as well. It would then
be quite easy to run a report to find anyone with the tag "confidential."
