Jim,
That sounds like a user training issue, not a functionality issue of the
application. But I agree, the user base needs to understand how it works,
once they do, then I doubt anyone would check C:.

The reason that the search works like it does and allows specifying the
order of folders to be searched... Users frequently have multiple copies of
exhibit files with the same name in different folders on their hard drive.
If you specified searching a tree rooted at C:\ and the first file found was
the wrong file, then what would you do? Running a search as you describe
might result in many exhibits pointing to the wrong file. For this reason,
the exhibit search was designed as it currently works.
If the option to search a tree existed, I will guarantee you that numerous
calls to Support will happen with the user saying that their exhibits are
displaying the wrong files.
