I use XP pro - no problems with backups but the expanded picklist does affect me when using it to add a second Principal to a tag. I have no problems opening the expanded picklist, finding the person I want, canceling out of the picklist, and typing the ID number of the person. I haven't had any problem using the expanded picklist to navigate from on person to another or adding one witness at a time.
