Lee, this truly helps a lot. I don't mind creating a custom tag for it -
and I plan to use your suggestions - I just wanted to be sure I wasn't
missing something obvious in TMG.

Thanks much,
Becky

The real answer is wherever you want to record the deeds, patents,
etc. Some just use one of the existing standard Tag Types like NOTE,
EVENT-MISC, ANECDOTE, or some other Tag. Other users create Custom Tag
Types with the appropriate Sentence Structures for the way they want to
record the data from the documents. Some examples of Custom Tag Type are:
Land-Buy
Land-Sell
LandTrans

The Sentence that you use will depend on how you expect the data to
print. You might have the seller as Principal #1 and the Buyer as
Principal #2 and the remaining (if any) buyers/sellers as Witnesses. Or
you might put two of the buyers (or Sellers) as the both Principal #1 and
#2 and the remainder of the parties as Witnesses. Since each land
transaction is possibly unique you will probably need to adjust the
Sentences as needed to get what you want.

Hope this helps -
