I have an instance where a WW2 soldier who was killed in the Invasion. He
is buried in Europe, but there is a memorial stone in the family plot here
in the states. I used the burial tag showing him buried in a US cemetery in
Belgium, and then put a note in the memo field that states there is a
memorial stone in Dieterich Cemetery in the family plot, but he is actually
buried in Belgium.

So far, I've only had one instance like this.........therefore, I didn't do
any custom tags or anything, just "adapted" what is already there to fit the
circumstances.

Interesting. I haven't done anything like that as I have not come across
the situation. On the other hand there may be a similar situation coming in
the next few years. Locally there is a man who died and the family erected
a stone for him and his widow. She has since re-married and the couple have
purchased their gravesite complete with stone which includes her again. I
asked her once if she was to be buried in both graves. She laughed and said
she'd be buried with her second husband. The children are alright with this
so I suppose the other will just be left showing her still living (Jane
Doe, 1913 - ). <g>

I haven't figured out how to handle it yet. I will probably make a note in
the Burial Tag Memo. An alternative is to use my Burial(Re) and tell that
she is only buried in the one grave.

A friend's father died and was buried in the family cemetery about 50 miles
from where he had lived for more than 60 years. Because it was difficult
for my friend's mother to go to the distant cemetery, they decided to
re-bury him in a local cemetery. The stone at the family cemetery is still
there. I have no idea why they left it. Maybe they think his spirit is
still there. He did love the area. <g>
