That may be a more "modern" thing. I was/am my mother's PR since she died in Arizona in 1993. Things still
happen that require my attention.

Oh, so I googled and came up with:

"The term "Arizona probate" means an Arizona Superior Court monitored legal proceeding by which the
liabilities and probate assets of a deceased person ("decedent") are paid and administered and the probate
assets of the estate are transferred by a personal representative (called administrator, executor or
executrix in other states) of the estate appointed by the Court."

Probably the same in Florida.

|Here is another roll you might want to consider. Personal
|Representative. In my mother's will (Florida 2003) she named a
|"Personal
|Representative" to administer her estate. When she passed the attorney
|petitioned the probate court for Letters of Administration and in
|accordance with her will the court issued a "Letters of
|Administration"
|appointing me as the "Personal Representative" of her estate.
|In signing
|documents, etc, I used either the full designation Personal
|Representative or PR after/under my signature.
