I just have to chime in on this one as well,

I agree that Norton SystemWorks (N-SW) is quite suspect to me.
I used to have all sorts of 'odd' PC problems when I used it (don't remember
specifics but not confined to TMG) - at some point I decided to ditch N-SW
and for Internet security went to a different company altogether - I noticed
immediately that my PC was not only running much smoother and faster but
since then also rarely have 'odd, unexplained' PC problems and I often don't
reboot my PC more than maybe once or twice a week, if that.
