First, I don't think that it can be "turned off" since this is a
Windows design. As for "covering up data", I assume that you mean
data in a different window. For example, the Blue bar of the
Children window may be covering the lower part of the Details
window. If this is the case, you can fix the problem by either
resizing either or both windows or moving one or both windows. To
re-size a window, hover the mouse ove the lower right corner of the
window until the mouse cursor changes to a double-headed arrow. Then
hold the left mouse button and drag the window corner up and/or left
until the window is the size you desire and release the mouse
button/ You can also re-position a window by clicking on the blue
bar and dragging it to where you want it.

After changing your screen Layout, be sure to save it or it will
revert to the earlier Layout when you start TMG the next time. To
save a changed Layout (or create a new one), select
View=>Layouts=>Manage Layouts from the Main Menu.
