I think you could get much of what you are looking for by using Cntl^ F3. It
brings up a list of the last 15 entries!

But sorting won't help because the MSL always open to the most recent used
or to source no. 1. They would have to change the MSL to always open at the
top of what ever sort order is in effect to get what you want...and I for
one would not want that...
