I'm contemplating comparing the merits of "lumping"
vs. "splitting." Right now, I'm split -- my information is
in separate projects by family name. I would like to try
a consolidated project, but am not sure how to
proceed.
Can projects be imported into an "uber-project" as
data sets? Does that work with the wizard as it's
currently set up? It doesn't list files for import higher
than TMG 4.x, and I just updated from 5.something to
6.08.
Or should I export each project as a GEDCOM and
then bring each back into the "uber-project?"
I'm so totally lost at this. I've been using TMG for a
while now, but only minimally. Or minimalistically.
Whatever.
I am beginning to go through GTMOOTMG, and am
finding it quite helpful, but this is still rather
overwhelming to my poor aging brain.
Thanks in advance.
