After you update the flag, check the entry in the Project Explorer above the
current name. See if it is an empty line. If it is, exiting the program
clears up the problem. If you see the empty line it is a problem that I
reported in 6.07 that is still occurring.

I've certainly seen something similar - I was trying to set a flag, but it
wouldn't have any of it for that person. Next day, when I tried again it
worked fine. Odd!

I'm not aware of having edited a Primary Name first, but I may have done.

Subject: v6.09 - Minor Bug?

Today is the first day I've seen this happen so I'm assuming it's something
'new' in 6.09 -- it's definitely intermittent, but has anyone else seen
this?

There are two separate symptoms which seem to be tied to this bug, whatever
it is.

Symptoms:
A) You try to edit a Flag but the new setting won't 'stick'.
B) You try to edit a Primary Name, but double-clicking on it doesn't open
the edit window.

If A then B; if B then A.

The only way I've found to clear the problem is to go ahead and edit the
Primary Name by doing a Right-Click on it and selecting "Edit this tag".
Once the edit window closes, the Details screen will "jump" to Person Number
1 in the project but, other than that, the problem (for that person, at
least) seems to be fixed.
