If you Click on the "Search" Icon on both the laptop and the desktop, change
the sort By: to "ID number", You should be able to scroll to the bottom of
the list and look at the highest group of ID numbers in both files and
determine the ones that need to me copied to the other file.

After you get one file accurate you can copy it to the other file.

I presume you did not manually assign ID numbers when you updated either
file.
