Joanne,
It seems it's mostly when I want to make a list of people with the same last
name, but want only the first names of everyone, but the last one, whose
surname I want also.
I just want the first and surname (without the middle name). I could
accomplish this by adding a Nam-Var tag for everyone who has a middle name,
but I thought it would be much easier to make my sentence read: [P1F] and
[P2F] [P2L] (John and Mary Smith instead of John Henry and Mary Anne
Smith). Or "[D], the [L] household consisted of [PF], [RF:Others]" or "On
June 1, 1930, the Jones household consisted of John, Mary, Billy, Susie and
Joe."
If seems like it crops up other times, but I know it's not possible so I
figure a way around it. But I thought I'd ask at this time, in case
something new has been added.
