Use Roles or Witnesses??? They are not even similar. That's rather
like saying whether you use a car or a banana - it has no meaning.
You cannot enter a person as a Role. You can only enter then as
Principals or Witnesses - noting has changed in that regard with the
advent of Roles.
Roles are a way of creating libraries of sentences - they can be
applied to Principals or to Witnesses. They do not require you enter
any additional people to a tag. They simply provide additional
flexibility in how you assign sentences to people you would already
enter.
