Thanks again for all the replies. Here are the results of the various
things I tried.

Virginia,

I checked the "less1=" and "more1=" settings in the app.ini file and
"less1=" was set to zero. I changed it to "less1=80", a similar size to the
other "less" and "more" settings. When I reopened TMG, the expanded
picklist was still missing the person name column.

No, I am talking about the first column on the expanded picklist - the
screen that comes up when you click on the binoculars.

In the app.ini file, the "column2=" was set to yes. The grdPLColumnWidth2="
field was set to 199 so I changed it to 500 as you suggested. TMG did open
(so I don't have to yell at you!) but the picklist still looks the same,
with the first column missing.

On the picklist options screen in TMG, everything is currently checked
except father's ID, mother's ID and Spouse's ID. Below are the picklist
settings in the current file. If the "column=" fields correspond to the
columns on the picklist options screen, the only thing that looks fishy to
me is why column3 would be NO since "Reference" is one of the columns I
selected to appear on the picklist.
