I've not tried through that method, I basically just copied
(via network connection) from my old W98 machine to a directory on my
WinXP box. Then let it search for the relocated external exhibits. I
think most of the project specific files are directory neutral (they
just have to be all in the same directory).
Well, correction ... If you open the PJC file in a text
editor you'll find a block like:
ImageDirectory=E:\UserData\Dennis Lee Bieber\My
TimelineDirectory=C:\PROGRAM FILES\THE MASTER GENEALOGIST\TIMELINE\
GEDCOMDirectory=E:\UserData\Dennis Lee Bieber\My
REportsDirectory=E:\UserData\Dennis Lee Bieber\My
RepeatDirectory=C:\PROGRAM FILES\THE MASTER GENEALOGIST\
GedcomExportPath=E:\UserData\Dennis Lee Bieber\My
AlternateDir1=E:\UserData\Dennis Lee Bieber\My
which you might prefer to edit to the new locations /before/ opening
the project in TMG.

Spanning DVDs is a pain too... I only use TMG's backup to
snapshot changes while working. I rely upon (and I'm way behind on
doing one) using an external backup utility to backup changes to the
