Linda,
The footnotes are good, but I would get the impression that you were citing
the Tyler History and not the group of papers you found.
I would think you would want something like:
Oletta Marie Tayler Papers, Tyler Surname Folio. Genealogy Section, New
Albany Public Library, New Albany, Indiana. Collection cites "The Tyler
History", as stating "Clovis Tyler, a son of David Tyler, apparently states
he had a sister named Dolly. Dolly may have been a nickname for Dorothy."
The collection does not contain a copy of the History and the author has not
been about to obtain one at this time.
So for that you could use the basic Manuscript( Unpublished) Add the
Collection..as stating" part as a comment and then the rest as the CD. Easy
enough.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!
I think I'm there: "there" being a state where I get what I want without
violating too many style rules ... read on if you dare. <g>

I misplaced my spare square hole, but Lee Hoffman provided me with one of
his when he wrote:
> Okay here is a Custom Source Type for you. Call it say "Manuscript
> Collection" ...
But then Terry Reigel wrote:

So I took my square peg and Lee's square hole, sanded down the edges of both
a bit, and came up with the following which I hope meets with the approval
of all. If not, please grab a piece of sand paper and help me do some more
sanding. <LOL>
Y'all are awesome!! Thank you, again, for your time and your help!!

NOTES: (1) I preferred having the title of this particular source in
quotation marks, but they frustrated correct comma placement when CD is
present so I compromised and used italics instead. (2) I moved the CD from
the end up to just behind the Title and added CM to the end. Thanks, Terry,
for the CM tip! (3) To avoid a visual run-in, I added CR+TAB after Memo3 in
the Full Footnote. This was unnecessary for the Short Footnote where Memo3
is omitted. (4) I added Memo1 (as referenced by Oletta Marie Tyler) to the
Short Footnote just because I felt it was needed for clarity. (5) I think
Terry is right about not using an unseen source in the Bibliography so I
added Subject (Oletta Marie Tyler Papers) and removed Title (Tyler History).

Disclaimer: The following contains a fictional person with fictional sample
citations, created in my "test" project.
Dolly Tyler(1) was born in December 1855 in MN.(2) She died in 1897 in
Georgetown, Floyd County, IN.(3)
Footnotes/Endnotes:
(1) Tyler History, citing Clovis Tyler (as referenced by Oletta Marie Tyler;
see her papers in the Tyler Surname Folio, Genealogy Section, New Albany
Public Library, New Albany, IN). The Tyler History has not been seen by this
researcher; author and publication information remain unknown. A copy of the
history was not found in the New Albany Public Library.
Clovis Tyler, a son of David Tyler, apparently states he had a sister
named Dolly. Dolly may have been a nickname for Dorothy.
(2) Tyler History, citing Clovis Tyler (as referenced by Oletta Marie
Tyler). Dolly does not appear in the census household of David Tyler until
1880, however that census does lend support to the birth date as given. If
she was a child of David, as Clovis apparently asserts, it is a mystery why
she was not enumerated in her father's household in 1860 and 1870.
(3) Tyler History (as referenced by Oletta Marie Tyler). No other evidence
has been found for this date, and the source for it is not shown in the
Tyler History.
