In this case, I would create a new tag called "Oil-lease" and add them with
your father as the ADMNISTRATOR and the heirs as Leasees. You could add the
company as a dummy person as Leasor.

Then you could enter the information such as the amount etc into the tag.

The sentence would read something like: [R:Leasees] received proceeds from
their oil stock [D] [L}. <The stock was valued at [M1].><The payout was
[M2]>

I have some cancelled checks from a oil-lease proceeds account ha my
grandfather administered. He wrote checks to his deceased sister's
children. Extrapolating from some of the letters to and from the oil
company, she may have died intestate. How would you enter that the children
received the proceeds and how would you cite it?
