Thank you so much, Lee! The snippet I quoted below was just the portion of
the source that was in the [CD2], not the full source. USGenWeb and URL is
in the source definition itself. I'd looked at the digital articles and
books section of the Quicksheet, and what I envisioned as the full citation
was very much like your suggestion. But because I had a source
(transcription on USGenWeb) citing a source (NGS Quarterly) citing another
source (the privately printed book), I just wanted some validation before I
finished so that will not have to redo this yet again in 2008 :)

This is supposed to be a citation with USGenWeb as the source? I don't see
it? Where are you citing USGenWeb? I do see the NGSQ being cited, but not
the USGenWeb. When you say "source" in this context, I assume that you mean
you obtained the content of the document from a USGenWeb web site and it is
cited as above within the
USGenWeb page. If so, then I suggest that you include that as part
of the citation, like:
Jean Stephenson, transcriber, "Revolutionary War Volunteer Roll",
copied
from Virginia Eliza (Green) Singleton, The Singletons of South
Carolina,
published privately, 1914, and printed in the National Genealogical
Society
Quarterly, volume 18, number 3, 1930, as downloaded from the
USGenWeb
Archives Project at <http:\\www.usgenweb.com\some page> on 2 Jun
2007.
Of course, the web site address and download date here is fictional and the
correct URL and date would be used.
This is the standard Mills design -- use the design as if you saw the
original document. Then add the particulars as to where/how/when you saw it.
Look at Mills "QuickSheet" under the Digital Article & Books" section. Note
that if you take away the reference to the web page then you have the basic
citation as if it was what was being cited -- which it is.
Hope this helps -
