Thanks Lauren - my problem is there are 3000+ people - is there a way
with a couple of clicks to flag everyone and then to manually remove the
flag from the 5 or 6 people I want to exclude

Gary,
SS can't use a flag (other than living) to exclude people from a site,
but it can use a flag to include only certain people on a site.
Create a flag in TMG -- say SS_include -- and set it to Y for everyone
you want to include and N for those you wish to exclude. In SS there is
an option (I think it is under PEOPLE) to include only those with the
flag set to Y. The option is on the same page that allows you to exclude
living people. I do this all the time, so I can create CDs with only
certain family line on them.
