I have come in late to this discussion but I am on Digest and in NZ but I
had a similar problem with putting my pedigree (and my wife's pedigree) on
our website. I have some uncles and aunts and a great half uncle who are
still alive - in their 90s. I tried making a duplicate project and then
deleting them but that took far too much time and trouble and now I have
made up a focus group of our ancestors and then added their descendants to
one generation in TMG and deleted the living aunts and uncles (4) from it.
>From those who were left I added spouses and that gave me only the ones I
wanted. I flagged that group and used that selected group in Second Site and
I have all those I wanted and only those
If you are using a different grouping from my pedigree group you may have to
experiment as I did but it should work
