Hidden text is probably the one "advanced" feature I haven't experimented
with. I understand how Second Site handles hidden text, but that gives me
no less concern that I will break something on my web site :( I will
experiment with hidden text because I think this might be something that
will work well for me. Thanks!
Of course, this morning, I found a way to make the source template use fewer
[CD]s - as often happens after I ask my question here <G>

look!) but I am wondering how other lumpers keep track of what goes in
multiple [CD] and [CM] fields in citations.<<
I have really cut down the number of CDs I use since we got CM and CREF.
(Bless you to 7 generations, WG!) But for those I still use -- mostly census
sources -- I use Hidden text to remind me. Example of the FF from my Census
citation:
[HID:]CD1=Household name, CD2=city, pg, fam/dw[:HID]{[CREF] }[TITLE] ...
etc.
By using the Hidden fields, I can see the CD reminders right when I select
the source type in my list. Works great for me.
