I looked up the book Katharine Scott Sturdivant's (Sturdevant) Bringing Your
Family History to Life Using Social History. Some want $279.00 for the book
on the Internet. Yet, Katherine in an article said it costs $19.99. Some
articles also say the price is $13.99. Where did you read the book?

If you haven't already run across it, you sound as
though you would love Katharine Scott Sturdivant's
book, Bringing Your Family History to Life Using Social
History. I heard her speak at the Federation of
Genealogical Societies/Florida State Genealogical
Society conference, and she lit a fire under me. Her
book is a wonderful resource.

I feel the same way, but I gotta say, I think TMG is
worth it, even if you don't use all the features. And you
won't use them all at first, for certain. I probably will
never use ALL the features, but the ones which are
there that I DO use are worth it to me.

I felt the same way, and migrated from FTM to TMG a
few years ago. The principal reason I made the move
is that I was dissatisfied with the way FTM handled
sources; it wasn't robust enough for me. TMG
certainly filled that bill!

Good luck with whatever you decide.
