Subject: [TMG] regarding births & christenings

What I must explain first is that in Greece, when a baby is born a first
name does not have to be entered on the birth certificate, though it could
be. Most of the time on the documents that I have the first name is missing
from the birth section. After the christening when the name is given, the
parents go back to city hall, the birth certifcate comes back out and the
first name is appended.. on the same sheet usually on the side in really
illegible annoyingly small text, with all the christening information as
well. I am using this document of course to cite both birth and christening
info but my question is a silly one (thank goodness)
In my christening tags, on citing the doc, do I put in the cd the date that
the birth certificate was originally filed? (ex: 1/1/1950) or do I put in
the date that it was refiled after the christening info was appended? (ex
6/1/1950)
Also, is this a unique thing? I think it must be, there is separation of
church and state in the US, no such thing here, not yet..
thanks guys xx
