I am sorry, I didn't mean tag, I meant ICON. Are your buttons images, or
text? If they are images, are the images ones that came with TMG or ones
you created yourself in 6.0? I just added a tag of a specific type (a
custom tag) and didn't have any problem so I think the issue could be the
toolbar you are using. You might try saving it as a different name, and
then see if you can add to it.

Teresa,

Yes, I do have a tag that I created. It is in the Other Events group.
I have two other tags from the other events group on my custom toolbar.
Two are custom tags and one is a standard tag.

I just tried adding other tags and I can do that. I just deleted my
Baptism tag and now I can't get it back. It seems that I can't change
existing tags and I can't add a tag of a specific type.
