Ed,

You might be able to accomplish this by a procedure like this:

1 - Create a new source; call it "Delete Me" or something similar.

2 - Change the citations that you want to delete from the current source to
the "Delete Me" source.

3 - Delete the "Delete Me" source using the Delete button in the Master
Source List.

The hard part is #2, but my TMG Utility program can help there. It does not
have a Delete Citations feature, but it does have a Change Citations feature
that you can use to change some citations from one source to another. See
the help page below, and in particular, the "Splitting Sources" section.

There is no option to restrict the change to certain tag types only, so you
may have to use the "Prompt before each change" option and selectively
approve changes. (The dialog box will tell you the event type of the current
citation as each citation is processed.) That will be a little more tedious
than doing it automatically, but it will be a lot less work than doing the
same thing in TMG.
