Like the others, I do save these people to my database, however I leave
the relationship flag at ? until I determine for sure if they do or do
not fit on my tree. The main example of this is a name that I have had
in my files since the 70s when I first started my research. The
individual shared my fairly uncommon last name and he was living in the
same US city as my ancestors, I always assumed there was a connection
somewhere. Just last month I found his birth in the Kirchen Buch that
also has my ancestor and have finally determined that he was a cousin of
my immigrant ancestor.

My relationship flags are ancestor, consanguinity, related by marriage,
unrelated, end of line ancestor and immigrant ancestor. All have their
own accent colors.
