My error generating reports was a Port Spawn Error that on the next screen
was identified as Error #3 - Unknown Error.

I appreciated my interaction and experience with TMG customer support. I
found the support representative professional and knowledgeable - even
though ultimately he could not correct my problem. We tried a couple fixes,
but I was told what I think is new information.

My computer has a 64-Bit Quad Core processor and I use the 64-Bit version of
Windows Vista. Some of the programming code used in the Report Modules is
written in 16-bit code. The 16-Bit code does not work with the 64-bit Vista
which causes the error.

Regarding the fix for the problem with generating reports for the 64-Bit
Windows Vista, the TMG technical support person said, " They are being over
hauled but I have no idea what time frame the programmers are working to."

Do any others of you have 64-Bit Vista and is it working when you try to
generate reports? Jane? Has anyone heard a more specific time period for
getting a fix to the Report Generating Errors?

Fortunately, I have a lap top with 32-Bit Vista which I think is supposed to
work.

Thanks,

Bill Belcher

I am getting the same error message. Port Spawn and then the next error
message is Error #3 - Unknown Error - contact technical support. Now, I
wish they would contact me! After two year, I actually found someone (new)
who might have information regarding my missing link and I can't send him a
report! - lol

Still waiting to hear about the Conversion #3 error problem. Dorothy
from Wholly Genes phoned me a couple of days ago, but we could not get
the problem solved. I get it with all reports that I try to send to my
word processor (Word 2000 or later). I get it with both V. 6 and V. 7.

I have a D drive which is a storage and the report keeps jumping to that
drive, instead of staying with C drive.

Any thoughts from the old hands here?
