My initial post in this thread was a response to Rae Jean who described the
way that the OK button works (and doesn't like it) and my posts have been
about that and not about the proposed new option.

Regarding the proposal, I don't have a strong opinion. I don't view the
current behavior as a big problem, so I don't see the new option as a
priority. I believe the best proposal for the new option includes the
ability to have things work just the way they do today--which is what I
would want--so I do not object to the addition of the option. If I was
always going to be pestered with a prompt, I would object.
