Teresa,
This is a wonderful idea! I too would love to have the option to turn on this feature so I could mouse over the tag and see the entire contents or perhaps the first 200 or so characters.

This would definitely need to be an option that can be turned on and off at will because it can be annoying when wanting to work on something and I don't want to see the extra data.
