I would find a mouseover item tip on the date field to show the sort
date very useful. I follow the tag sequence of Birth, Baptism, Death,
Burial, Marriage, used in the NEHG Register, which is
non-chronological. I also tend to group other events, like censuses.
I am forever opening tags to check a sort date - and then trying to
remember to close them with Cancel instead of OK so as not to trigger
the Last Edited field.
