Pat,
There is no need to do that. When you get ready to print an Ahnentafel, TMG
will ask for the starting person and it will number each ancestor for that
starting person. So you don't have to be constantly changing your reference
number so the codes are correct.

Thanks so much for your input. Basically I think it looks way too confusing
to try to re-number people and there does NOT seem to be any particular need
to do so.

Guess what I'll do, one of these days, is use the reference location to
enter the correct Ahnentafel number so my pedigree charts I can have it
print to reflect that! Sounds much easier than any re-numbering project!

Just wondering, is there any particularly logical reason to 're-number' the
people in my database? Obviously at the moment they are all randomly
numbered by TMG.
