If you read help, you'll see that there is a middle ground solution that
exists now.

1) Exclude the memo field. It will respond to the Tag Box 'Show excluded
data' option.

and at the same time...
2) Double-exclude the sentence. The tag will never output to reports or
GEDCOM even when 'Show excluded data' is selected in the report or GEDCOM
export respectively.
