I've found the non printing memo very helpful especially since I started
using SS. e.g.
I enter godparents as witnesses to a baptism. I use to just type a memo in
for the principle giving the godparents name. But, if I use the witness
variable in the principle's sentence SS creates a link for them. But I can't
see their names on the person view, so, I put that info in M2.
