Mike,

Here's how I get full size pdf charts from VCF.

Once your chart is created:
Go to Tools > Diagram > Diagram Measurements > Note Chart Size
File > Page Setup > Printer > PDF995 (select your PDF printer)
Properties > Advanced > select paper size closest to your chart size
Use File > Print Preview to check the outcome.
Print to PDF
