Bob,

how to cite the photograph is one question, for which I have an
answer. How to enter the photograph in TMG is a different
question/discussion. I'll tackle the citation first.

I model my citations on Elizabeth Shown Mills' _Evidence Explained_
(book is highly recommended; I actually keep an electronic copy on my
computer for instant use when citing a new piece of evidence.) To see
my photo and citation together, visit my blog at
http://ambararabians.com/blog :

Tierney, John J. grave marker, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover,
Essex, Massachusetts, USA; photograph by D. J. Goldman, 23 Apr 2008.
Digital copy privately held by Jean Marie Diaz, [ADDRESS FOR PRIVATE
USE], Linden, California. 2009.

So first name the objects or people in the photograph; second the
photographer and date, if known; third the holder of the physical
photograph which was scanned (my example was a digital original, so
that part was skipped, but there are other examples at my site);
fourth your information, as the holder of the scan. I might cite your
example as:

Name 1, Name 2, Name 3, Name 4, at the funeral of Name 5, Place photo
taken; photograph by Photographer on Date. Photograph held by Your
Relative's Name, their address. Digital copy privately held by You,
your address. Publication date.

Now, how to enter the photo in TMG. It doesn't sound like you're
actually using the picture as evidence to support any relationships,
so I would probably add the photo to the Primary Name tag of each of
the persons pictured, with an appropriate caption, rather than adding
a tag for it. This would allow the photo to be included when I post
any of those folks to my website using Second Site.

Hope this is of some use.

Regards,

Ambar
