Subject: [TMG] Using TMG 4 64-bit With Windows 7 XP Virtual Machine

How happy I was to read that there may be a fix for the reports export
to word processors in the offing with TMG v8.
For the past month I have been trying to figure out how to export
various TMG 4 reports to WordPerfect so as to create indexes for said
reports. I have been successful in creating and exporting said reports
but, what a chore. Windows 7 Professional and XP Virtual Machine have
to be treated as two separate computers with two separate operating
systems. Anything you wish to use with both operating systems has to be
installed under XP VM,as well as W v7, incuding printers, word
processors, scanners, TMG etc., with the attendant use of hard drive
space. Any data that is changed in TMG W v7 has to be backed up, then
the backup copied to TMG XP VM, then restored to the VM version. My
point is that TMG 4 will work under Windows 7 (as far as reports to word
processors are concerned) if you are willing to deal with the hassles.
If TMG 8 will deal with these hassles, I will be eternally grateful.
If anyone has discovered an easier way to share data between Windows 7
64-bit and XP virtual machine, I would love to hear you thoughts.
Thanks,
John Wood
