The only thing I might add here though is that if a person dies at home,
their place of death may not be their residence on the death certificate,
but the local hospital instead.

If a person was killed in a war one would not use the home address for where
they died. The same applies to other deaths. I always record the nursing
home name and address if the person died in the nursing home. Also, if they
lived in the nursing home and died in the hospital the hospital name and
address is used. TMG has accommodations for entering such pertinent data.
Make sure your record is complete as possible. I usually try and find a
reason to put in the residence just prior to the death. That way it flows
naturally that the death location was not their residence. A lot of the
death records now annotate that the person died at a location and in
addition note they were a resident of ... If there is sufficient
information to warrant it, use a note Tag to describe the situation.
