EXACTLY! And worse.
In fact, when my son got his DMV* ID card, the card, thankfully, was
correct, but it was sent to "David Dusen Pieter Van" (instead of David
Pieter Van Dusen, or Van Dusen, David Pieter).
When I lived in New York State, people understood Dutch names, but here
in California, I've been called everything from Anderson to Mendoza.
Oh, and my first attempt to import my data into TMG, the two-thirds of
my individuals who have Van... names had Van as a middle name instead.
