There is no such thing as a "notes section" as I presume you're
envisioning (as in, e.g. Family TreeMaker); everything in TMG is entered
as "tags". There is a "Note" tag type, which will do pretty much what
the Anecdote tag does.
The way to make your reports "look right" is to set the sort date on
each tag to put them into the order you prefer, and to customize your
sentences where needed (first choice: customize in the tag type
definition, so the custom applies to all tags of that type; last choice:
customize an individual tag that just doesn't fit any other way).
You'll definitely need to play with this a while, but then it will come
together for you.
