Actually, it would be the Primary Name Tag Memo field. The person
does not have a Subject Tag as Terry stated. When the Family Group
report is generated, the focus person of the report becomes the
Subject of the report.
>A dated tag detaches the linkage of general information to the subject and
Huh? How is a dated Tag detached from a person?? If you want a Tag
not to be dated -- don't enter a Date.
>does not address the need to print out the data in the Primary Name Tag Memo

Actually, that data _does_ print. The problem, as you say, is that
it is truncated when the Name Tag is the Primary Name Tag _AND_ the
person is the Focus Person (the Subject) of a Family Group report
_AND_ the report is generated to either the screen (Print Preview) or
direct to the Printer.
If you assign any other name as the Primary Name, that is, make the
current Primary Name to be non-Primary (keeping the Memo with the
non-Primary Name), then you will see that the Memo data will fully
print assuming that you select to print non-Primary Name Tags.
One other point, the genealogical community generally uses a Family
Group Sheet format that does not print anything in the Subject and
Spouse (or Husband and Wife) sections other than basic Birth,
Marriage, Death, Burial data and possibly some other data such as
parents, residences, occupation, and religion. Narratives are seldom
included although some short dozen (more or less) lines may be
included at the end of the report. In fact, including a narrative at
the top of the form really defeats the purpose of the form -- to
quickly show the basic information for the couple and their children.
As I say, this is the generally accepted "standard" and there is no
rule that says you can't create a Family Group Report in whatever
format that you want. As has been pointed out, you can generate the
report to your word processor and the Primary Name Tag Memo field
will print fully. The only thing is that the borders will not be included.
Hope this helps -
