Darrell, I also would use it. - Frankie

Greetings:

It seems to me that just about everyone who has responded to Doreen's
question has provided an answer to some *other* question.

As I understand it, what Doreen wants is a code that would cause the
final characters of any memo segment to be treated when output as part
of a sentence (in terms of punctuation) *EXACTLY AS IF THEY WERE
ALPHANUMERIC*. That's not the way she phrased it, but I think that is
the effect.

If a memo segment ended with "endaaa" and that memo segment was the last
element of the sentence structure, TMG would output it as "endaaa."
Substitute three colons (or periods, or commas, or whatever) for "aaa"
in the memo, followed by the hypothetical LMPA code, and Doreen wants
the output from TMG to make the exact same substitution NO MORE, NO LESS.

This view makes both NB and NP irrelevant to her question. They aren't
designed to do what she wants, and so, of course, they don't [grin].

If there were such a code, I would use it....

Darrell
