On 11/6/2010 Rae Jean wondered:

Hi Rae Jean,

I use née with parentheses, but only for the displays within TMG, not in
any report output. I have a custom tag called "Name-Married" that uses a
custom Name Style Template. I have relabeled the tag labels as follows:
Label 1= Mrs
Label 3= GivenName
Label 5= Maiden
Label 7= Married

When I create the tag I enter the married title (usually 'Mrs.") and
then only enter the Married surname, letting the Maiden names propagate
from the Primary name tag. My Style templates are:
Output= [Mrs.] [GivenName] [Married]
Surname sort= [Married], [SortGiven] [Maiden]
Surname display= [Married], [GivenName], [Mrs.] (née [Maiden])
Given sort= [SortGiven] [Married] [Maiden]
Given Name display= [Mrs.] [GivenName] [Married] (née [Maiden])
Children/Siblings display= [Mrs.] [GivenName] [Married] (née [Maiden])

I find having the (née [Maiden]) in TMG lists helps me when looking for
a particular spouse. Since you are already familiar with Name Styles,
hope this gives you ideas.

Michael
