If their detail view only showed the file name, they somehow had turned off (de-selected) the other columns. To turn them back on, they would need to right-click in the area where the column headers are, then select each of the column items that they want to display.

Windows Explorer on Vista: At a user group meeting, each person copied
filter files from the sample project to another project. On one persons
computer, running Vista, their Windows Explorer using Details, only showed
the file name and no additional fields for file size, file type, etc. We
were sorting the folder clicking on File Type, so that person could not
follow along - however, we found the one filter that we were demonstrating
and thus worked around the issue. Does anyone know what that person could
have done / can do now to show all fields in Windows Explorer on Vista?
